The Meals on Wheels Extreme Cycle for Hunger has officially concluded, and we are deeply proud of the extraordinary journey our cyclists undertook. Throughout this event, participants faced significant physical challenges but were united by one shared mission: to raise awareness and funds in the fight against hunger across South Africa.

From the first pedal stroke to the final stretch, this event has been inspiring. Cyclists from all walks of life came together with a common purpose—helping those in need. Along the way, essential supplies were delivered to communities, directly impacting individuals and families facing food insecurity.

In addition to the funds raised, this year’s event collected an astounding nine tons of donations, including food hampers, stationery packs, sanitary packs, sewing machines, soccer kits, preloved soccer boots, toys, and much more. These invaluable donations have been distributed to those in need, making a significant difference in the lives of vulnerable South Africans. This tremendous outpouring of generosity is a testament to the power of community spirit and collective action.

A special highlight of the event was the remarkable achievement of Robert Gnudi and Gavin Kilpatrick, who completed the Cape Town Cycle Tour 2025 in an impressive 3 hours and 18 minutes on a tandem bike. Their dedication, teamwork, and outstanding performance were a true inspiration to all involved and exemplified the spirit of resilience and camaraderie that defined this year’s event.

The success of this event would not have been possible without the continued and steadfast support of our generous donors. Their contributions have enabled us to further our mission of providing nutritious meals and essential supplies to vulnerable communities throughout the country. We are immensely grateful for their commitment, and their support has made a tangible difference in the lives of countless South Africans.

As we reflect on this journey, we are reminded of the power of community, compassion, and solidarity. The Meals on Wheels Extreme Cycle for Hunger has raised vital funds and underscored the incredible impact of coming together for a common cause.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to our donors, cyclists, volunteers, and everyone who played a part in this remarkable event. Together, we have demonstrated that small acts of kindness, when combined, can spark monumental change.

Thank you for helping us make a real difference. We are deeply grateful for your support and look forward to continuing the fight against hunger.
